First lets pick a topics? what do you guys thing?

I was thinking the highway would be the easiest to develop. Apart from that, I hadn't given it any more thought.

Ok, im cool with that. So everyone come up with a basic concept of a futuristic highway and we will pick the best one.


Im gonna start thinking of something.

i have no idea of a futuristic highway, how much more innovative could it be? maybe a two story highway lol.

I think the point is that highway has to be automated, in that there are no human drivers.

I kinda want to do the lunar city.

Here is what we have to take into consideration with the lunar city.

When the sun is in contact with the moon it gets extremely hot. So it would need to be insulated.
When the sun is not in contact with the moon it gets below 0.

We can look further into this.

We would need to build the lunar city piece by piece and then pressurize it. We would need to create a source of air: for example tree's or an indoor rain forest. We would also need a water source. People think there is water on the moon. This might help.

So we need Air, Water, sewage system and so on. It would need what ever a regular city needs but has to be modified for things that the moon doesnt provide.

The main thing would be to block the suns radiation some how.

What do you guys think.

that idea sounds good to me but the big problem is the temperature of the moon when it comes in contact with the sun or not.

Well, see for yourself. Everything we've discussed is in this thread. We're just looking for ideas regarding the lunar city.

so how do we start to even have life on the moon before we begin the city constructing?

Well I guess there'd have to be a Astronaut construction crew that would be trained on Earth and then shuttled to the moon to begin working. As far as our problem with the sun goes, perhaps there could be some sort of transparent, solar sheet that can be put orbit that would not only generate solar power but also regulate the amount of light that reaches the surface. And apart from creating buildings that have extremely functional insulation, I'm not really sure what else we could do about that.
However, just these couple of things represent a massive investment:
Training astronauts to be construction workers in space, developing new insulation for buildings and such.
On second thought, it'd probably be a better use of money to insulate the buildings as well as make them solar generators. I think utilizing the sun's power is the only way that such a society could be self sustaining.
Just throwing ideas around. Thoughts?

hey guys ... i was thinking if we change our topic to the automated hwy ... i find it easier to imagine than a lunar city ! ... because its something that can be done in the next 10 years !... there is a loooot of problems that u will face in a lunar city ... & it needs a lot of work & we don't have that much of time ... i watched some youtube videos about it & it seemed very clear & easy to understand ... also the design won't be a big problem ... its just a track that is similar to the ones used for metros & trains ... watch this video it will give u an idea about the whole thing:
